This is the first tattoo I had designed, that I also got tattooed on myself. I choose 3 specific Pokémon that I am either fond of or have a personal connection to.  I enjoyed making a design like this that goes half way up the arm. Like the Mimi Lisa I added in Mimikyu due to my enjoyment of this adorable ghost fairy type Pokémon adding him to the top of the tattoo since he is the lightest in the bunch. When making this design it was originally me just trying to make Gengar and Mimikyu work together like a sleeping thing. I decided to look at it from another angle and then made it as if they were following the mist or falling with it. 

When drawing the Pokémon for this design I looked at a lot of references on how they would be color filled. Due to the tan on my skin I felt it wouldn't be necessary to color in the tail of Mimikyu but if someone of lighter skin wanted the tattoo it would be better for them to get it color filled the appropriate shade. Originally I was going to try to go a watercolor approach like Oxilox does as she is my main inspiration when took interest in tattooing. Though I also quickly learned that I should take baby steps before trying to move forward with it. I drew everyday never missing a day to draw a minimum of one drawing a day. I looked at how other tattoo artists would shade and fill the piece with color and went off that instead.
